Festival of Infinite Imagination

In partnership with India Sky and Topsy Turvy Productions, we created an incubator to support and challenge the artists to create new genre-bending and powerful work in response to a guiding question: What does your radical and expansive imagination have to offer the Black past, present, and/or future?

The result was a multidisciplinary merrymaking of the participatory storytelling, operatic singing, spirit dancing, live sculpture, storytime with whales, song and pole dance, and entrancing electro-pop spectacle. It was chance for festival goers to relax, recharge and enjoy exciting intersections of culture.

Featured performers for 2019 were India Sky, SPELLING, Davia Spain, Rashad Pridgen, Omi Osun Joni L. Jones and Ana María Agüero Jahannes, with LeahAnn Mitchell (“LaFemmebear”) as MC. Supporting artists included Avé Ameenah Long, Jahslyn Chen See and Marshall Jarreau.
